School Bytes is the online student management system we use to help simplify communication, payments, attendance, events and reporting between the school and families. It’s a secure, cloud-based platform designed for NSW public schools.
What can you use it for?
Through School Bytes, parents/carers can:
- View and pay school fees, excursions/incursions, uniforms, or other school-related costs online.
- Receive digital permission slips for events and see the status of permissions.
- Keep track of attendance: check your child’s attendance record, mark planned absences, and view past absences.
- View the school calendar with upcoming events, download or sync those with your device.
- View academic reports once they are finalised.
- Use the app on mobile devices for quick access.

Tips for Smooth Use
- Make sure the email address and mobile number the school has for you are correct — you’ll need them to receive notices, verification links, and alerts.
- Keep an eye on your spam/junk folder for emails from noreply@mail.schoolbytes.education, and add that address to your safe-senders list.
- If you have more than one child, once your account is set up you can link all students in one portal—makes managing permissions, payments, etc., easier
